I have seen him (Dr. Karimou) before, on referral and he was helpful then as he was now, on this visit, so I requested him. As I am fortunate in that my medical needs are more preventative and I am in good health at my age, Dr. Karimou listened to the explanation of the assistance that I needed and stated his position on encouraging a patient/Doctor interaction to plan a course of action that addressed my needs. I appreciated being part of my own treatment rather than being subject to unknown clinic/hospital policies. Dr Karimou listened and let me lead to my own connections; correcting me only in his expertise, whereby I deferred to him. Together, we developed a plan to improve my health and mental well-being attached to my physical health. I appreciated that very much.

I love the care I get from Dr Karimou and his nurse Laura however the clinic has lost so much of the personalization that it has had for so many years. I mean, really, I am expected to check in via text. No, no, no that is what the 4 girls up front are for and when I walked in, everyone of those girls were on their cell phones. Shame on Banner Health for lowering their standards to this. I have never seen this behavior in the clinics I have been to in Colorado. Sorry, I have high expectations!!!
